I have had 3 cancer fighters in my family who I have closely seen affected and fighting this deadly disease every single day. When I was in college, both my aunts were diagnosed almost simultaneously. While one survived, the other didn’t. Years later, and right after my marriage, my MIL was diagnosed and after a 2 year long battle she breathed her last a few months back. Out of the many visible effects of chemotherapy, hair loss is a stark one. And given that positive support is as much I as an individual can give to a cancer patient, donating my hair for cancer patients felt like just a little more in solidarity of these fighters. I hope my small offering will find a place on a fighter’s crown!
