Pomfret Ambat – Tikhat
Clean and marinate Pomfret slices with turmeric and salt.
Grind together cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chilis, ginger, garlic, cloves, cinnamon in vinegar to a fine paste.
Take a pan add oil, once hot add chopped onions and fry till brown. Add ground paste and fry for a minute. Add cup of water and let boil. Once boiled add marinated fish and cook for 2 minutes.
Add coconut milk and kokum.
Simmer for 2 minutes and serve with rice.
