Incidences of cancer affliction
As per official records, there were 25 lakh cancer patients in India in 2013. 8 lakh new patients were registered in the National Cancer Registry. Lung and oral cancer is more prevalent in men while most women are affected by cervical and breast cancer. The increase in lung and oral cancer is directly related to tobacco use while westernization of our lifestyle contributes significantly to cancers in women.
